Privacy and patient data

Last updated — September 2026

Draft for review. This page describes how CliniDent is built to handle data. Have it checked by a lawyer before launch and align it with your signed terms and any DPDP obligations.

Whose data this covers

CliniDent is used by dental clinics to run their practice. The clinic is responsible for the patient information it enters. CliniDent processes that information on the clinic's behalf so the clinic can book appointments, raise invoices and send reminders.

How clinic data is kept separate

  • Each clinic's data is isolated from every other clinic's.
  • Within a clinic, staff see only what their role allows. A visiting associate sees only their own day's schedule.
  • Access needs a login. Clinics control who has one.

What we store

Patient contact details, visit and treatment history, invoices and payments, and the clinic's own settings and staff accounts. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

Messages to patients

Appointment reminders and review requests are sent through WhatsApp using details the clinic entered. By default these are wa.me links the clinic's staff send themselves.

Exporting and deleting

A clinic can export its data at any time. On request, a clinic's data can be deleted after it stops using CliniDent, subject to any records we must keep by law.
